The answer is yes and no. The fact that our company continues to grow and operate solely on skylights lets you know that general quality of most roofers skylight installations.
Roofers generally don’t like having to deal with skylights. It slows down their production with more detailed and challenging work, and therefore reducing their pay. Skylights also present a challenge, and a potential future leak or other problem.
In an effort to provide the cheapest service to the customer, most roofers buy the least expensive product. Which, as the old phrase goes, you get what you pay for. And in the end we get a lot of calls from homeowner with leaking skylights right after a roof replacement. There are however, roofers whose aim is to provide high quality service in all products.
