The leaking custom skylight needs a replacement.
In the path of the May 2017 hailstorm, this aging skylight ended up covered with a tarp to prevent further leaks and damage. The house was built in 1961 and while the skylight may not have been that old, it had definitely reached the end of its service life.
Our versatile MAGS BAR system was designed to solve exactly this sort of problem.

- Our own MAGS BAR custom glazing system in standard black anodized finish.
- Solarban 90 Clear Tempered over Clear Laminated lowE Glass.
- Dow Corning 795 silicone structural sealant.
The final result:
A ridgelight skylight nearly identical in appearance but with significantly better energy performance. The latest glass technology reduces invisible heat and UV ray transmission while passing a large percentage of the visible light. The reduction in cooling costs will add up!
