Vaulted ceiling:
A very steep roof pitch and vaulted/cathedral ceilings allowed skylights to be placed at two levels. One level was high on the ceiling and used solar powered skylights and blinds for easy remote control operation, and the lower level was within reach and used manual venting skylights with a hand crank for easy operation.
A deck mount skylight—unlike a curb mount skylight—is simply attached directly to the roof deck.
