The owner of this 23-year old home was impressed by her neighbor’s Sun Tunnels. Her house is in the North Central Westminster neighborhood of the Denver Metro area. After the free in home consultation, it was decided to install two VELUX Sun Tunnels in the living room.
The results were so appreciated, another Sun Tunnel was promptly installed above the office area.

Installation proceeds without a hitch.
Installation begins with customer and installer determining the exact location for the new Sun Tunnel. Debris protection is setup and the opening is cut in the ceiling. Then, up in the attic, the location for the roof opening is marked with a nail.
Up on the roof, shingles are removed in the area around the nail. The opening is cut, the flashing is attached to the roof and the shingles replaced.. The tubing is inserted and the dome is installed. All that remains is connecting the tubing to the ceiling diffuser and clean up.

Very pleased with the process of having solar sun tubes placed in our home. Julia or sales person was great, answering questions, providing suggestions. Jared our installer of the sun tubes was also fantastic. We are considering adding one more sun tube in the near future and will request Jared to do the work.
