We’re pleased with the replacement

We’re pleased with the replacement that Skylight Specialist installed on our roof. Jake & Jesus took their time to make sure it went smoothly. They also used extra cement roof tiles we had to replace some existing cracked ones. We are happy with the look (inside & out) that the new skylight presents. We would highly recommend Skylight Specialist !!

Cement tile roof requires extra care.

Concrete tile roofs are one of the most cost-effective choices due to their long lifespan—50 to 100 years or more.

However, extreme heat and/or freeze/thaw cycles can cause tiles to expand and contract, which can lead to damage. A heavy impact, such as a tree limb or large hail, can also cause a crack.

We don’t recommend that you walk on your concrete tile roof, if you can avoid it.

Our solution to avoid damage to the tiles is simple—remove them from the roof, creating a path from the ladder to the skylight,
