A transformation I would not have expected in my wildest dreams. After having installed 2 large skylights & 2 sun tunnels, our house instantly turned into a light-flooded, happy home. David came out first and was a stellar consultant. He knows his team, his product, he does not oversell but truly cares about suggesting the best option available. A few weeks later, the amazing team of techs came out, worked incredibly hard through a tar roof from 1956 and into the dark. Sky light [Skylight Specialists, Inc.] was great. They dealt with our skylights that most other contractors wouldn’t touch. They were very flexible with scheduling, courteous, and professional.

From beginning to end the SERVICE here was FANTASTIC and Price was under 1 thousand and the installers where very attentive. The installers let us know they would have to come back due to scratches in-between the glass so as to keep warranty they have to replace it. The whole team at Skylight Specialists were awesome. So friendly, and professional. The install team, Davin, Spencer, and James, took great care in protecting our home and floors from the debris of the install area, and did an excellent job with clean up. They did accidentally chip our bathtub, but they took full responsibility and didn’t hesitate to fix it! They found the repair company, and took care of it! This is the second time we have had them to our home, we originally had sky lights placed in our hall and master bath. We loved it so much we had them come back and place another in our guest bath. The work was amazing and we are so happy! Thank you for bringing light into our home!

Used this company to replace the old-school 1986-installed, dome skylights in our living room and above the stairwell. (we could feel the wind blow in the winter, and the living room felt like a sauna in the summer). We were impressed with how fast someone was able to come out to give us an estimate-and he was honest and thorough in explaining our options and different-priced options. (He also didn’t try to upsell us! Zero pressure!) We had gotten a fcew other estimates, and this one was much better priced, (one skylight was “custom fit” but they seemed to have more options for how to do it). The installers were fast, efficient, and cleaned up everything afterwards. We didn’t have any issues or questions, but the office team was great about checking in throughout the process as well. We already have a VERY noticeable difference in the temperature in the main level of our house, and are looking forward to it showing up in our a/c and heating bills.

Skylight specialist were totally professional, on time, on schedule, and cleaned up inside and out.

I had an old cracked dome skylight that was water to come in to my ceiling and wall. The dimensions of my skylight were kind of unique. David A. set up my initial consultation and took a deposit for the fabrication of the skylight. About a month later, Nick and Carlos showed up to my house at 7:30am and completed the job by 10:30am.
Now I’m looking forward to some rain to test out the waterproofing of the skylight.
Also looking forward to the energy savings from the double glass pane skylight.

We’re pleased with the replacement that Skylight Specialist installed on our roof. Jake & Jesus took their time to make sure it went smoothly. They also used extra cement roof tiles we had to replace some existing cracked ones. We are happy with the look (inside & out) that the new skylight presents. We would highly recommend Skylight Specialist !!

Our 1983 built home had the original dome shaped acrylic skylights that allowed for great sunlight to pour in to our top floor, but they were seriously inefficient – allowing heat to escape in winter and creating almost a greenhouse effect in summer. Allison was great in explaining what products would help with this problem. She came out to evaluate our windows and how her team could access the roof for replacement skylights. The installation team was very impressive -thorough, tidy, very respectful of their work space and our home. They completed all three windows in one day and my family noticed the difference immediately. Our central AC is no longer competing with the heat generated by those dome windows. And on cooler nights the remote controlled windows immediately allow extra heat to quickly escape. The climate control and energy efficiency of these windows makes me wish we had done this last summer, but grateful we didn’t wait another year before investing in this upgrade. The project was complicated from the start by the fact our existing skylights were non-standard sizes. Further complications arose when an existing solar installation had to be worked around. Throughout the sales and install process, the folks we interacted with were knowledgeable, courteous, prompt and efficient. We’ve had the new skylights for several weeks now and really like them. I would recommend Skylight Specialists to anyone looking to install and/or upgrade their skylights.

Skylight Specialists were very professional and responsive to any questions. The work was completed in a timely manner (replace 2 existing skylights) with new 2021 IRC compliant skylights. They are a “Certified Installer” for Velux skylights which is a big plus for using SS.

We recently had Skylight Specialists install a 2’x4’ Velux skylight in our kitchen, which was dark in the morning. The results were transformational; the area is now bathed in light and far more pleasant than it had been. Turns out my current skylight was old and parts are no longer available (verified). My rep put together a justification letter for the insurance company that a new skylight was needed and was approved. A installation date was set up and the skylights were installed as promised. Overall I was very satisfied and would recommend them.

I had an excellent experience with Skylight Specialists at every point of contact. Every person I dealt with was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The installation team went above and beyond to help me by carefully removing screens I had stapled against the old skylights. I was expecting an ugly drywall mess but the team did such a great job, I can’t see any issue now and they did this at no additional charge. Honestly, they left my living room cleaner and tidier than before they started.
Lastly, I love the skylights! They look fantastic and the price was very fair. I highly recommend this company.

Skylight Specialists are incredible. We had a complex job of replacing five panels all of differing shapes in a house on a mountain-side. From our initial call with Devin, to the advice from Mark, to the install led by Nick, the work was impeccable. Despite custom everything, they got the job done quickly and before the season change. The end result is absolutely beautiful and we could not be happier. And now under a 10 year warranty. So thankful for these guys.

From the Salesperson to the Techs, this was a wonderful experience. All were professional and friendly. Caden and Jared were the techs and worked non-stop to get it just right which wasn’t an easy job as it was difficult getting the sun-tubes to fit between the joists. They replaced 4 old 12” tubes with 14” tubes. Jared came back the following day as he was determined to make it perfect and worked for hours to achieve this goal. It’s not always pleasant working with contractors but the people at Skylights Specialists make it easy! I highly recommend this company!

Our experience with Skylight Specialists was exemplary from start to finish! Nicole visited and inspected our roof & 35 year-old skylights the morning after my call to the office. She accurately assessed our needs and confidently assured me that their team had the expertise to replace our special order skylights on our (concrete) tile roof.
Thankfully, they also did all they could to expedite our order/installation – one skylight was badly damaged due to wind, the other was leaking due to bad flashing.

I had Skylight Specialties replace 4 skylights at my home in the mountains. They sent four solid craftsmen and exceeded my expectations.
I was concerned that they would have to rip off a bunch of shingles and put on some mis-matched shingles, but they neatly pulled back the existing ones and replaced them perfectly. This crew was careful, very consciousness, and happy to answer all my questions and concerns.

There was an issue with the installation, so he came out and made it right. With the help of his young assistant, whom was doing great at learning all he can from the expert.

This company truly does everything exactly how they say. The job was supposed to maybe take a half to a whole day, and finished within about 2 hours. We didn’t have any roof issues, or needing other supplies. We had older Velux skylights, and didn’t have any west side openings or venting for our top floor which gets the hottest in this old house. These new skylights with the light blocking shades and venting are a blessing! I’m so happy they close automatically with rain in Colorado! You never know when we’ll get a pop up storm outta the blue! Wildland Justin are very professional, and I had absolutely nothing to clean up. Thank you!

We were very impressed with the workmen who came to install our new Skylight. They came early, were very pleasant to talk to and answered our questions before getting started. They were very efficient, obviously following a procedure plan and made sure to protect our floors and furniture. We are very happy with the results and now plan to have a sun tunnel installed in the kitchen just as soon as you can get us on your schedule!

We are very pleased with our skylights and the solar blinds. Also, the installation went very smoothly. They were very conscientious in making sure the installation was correct and explained what they had to do to remake the skylight boxes as the VELUX window would not work with our old existing boxes. We have had a very hard rain downpour since the installation and NO leaks.

They walked us through the process, checked with us to confirm all measurements before making any cuts, and left everything how it was. These guys did great work on our house! I work in construction, and I was wary of having just anyone cut into my roof and framing, which is why I went with Skylight Specialists. They are a certified Velux installer, and they work together with certified drywall company to provide full-service installation and repair. Our install was a little more complicated because we wanted a big skylight with a skylight well in our kitchen. It required some additional framing and moving of electrical, but the installers were professional and accommodating at every step. They put down and removed site protection every single day they were on site, and made sure to leave the space in usable condition at the end of each day. Our attic access is really small, but they never complained about having to crawl through the tight space. We got some minor pushback about filing a building permit with the city, but in the end, they handled the submittal and inspections for an additional fee as we discussed. In the end, it turned out even better than I imagined, and we are now considering adding a second skylight in our entry, as well as several Sun tunnels throughout the house. The complete installation took 2 days, with final drywall texturing and finishing happening a couple weeks after. Every time I stand in my kitchen, it makes me happy.

It was so bizarre to have contractor show up on time, work hard, do a great job and be friendly and knowledgeable too. I wish this company did more than skylights- we would hire them in a heartbeat. This is a better experience than we have had in all of our years of remodels.

Josh with Skylight Specialists, Inc. was very responsive from our very first request for a cost estimate. From there we felt the replacement was good quality and the install date was expedited. Install date arrived and the install team showed up on time as promised. The entire process was very professional.

There is so much to do in this house and out of all the contractors this was definitely one if not the best as far as workmanship, polite, professional and quality. This is high quality so expect to pay for it but you get what you pay for. As a business owner myself, I like the way they do business. Very nice people and all of them were courteous and polite. Great installer, he really left the place clean– no drywall dust anywhere! There was a little mix up with what I wanted but they are working it out for us, and the sun tunnel made a massive difference in our space and it’s much more enjoyable now.

I am so stoked with the final results provided by Skylight Specialist!! The custom skylight that they installed exceeded all of my expectations. After discovering a weird “pitch change” in my roof that prevented us from installing something a bit more typical, they designed and installed this custom skylight that brings in more light and looks way cooler. The more technical install meant that it took a little longer (it meant we had to custom manufacture the glass which took a few weeks), but it was well worth the wait!! We had a great experience with Skylight Specialists. From the scheduling, inspection, proposal/contract signing, and installation, everything was really easy. Julia was great to work with and was available to answer questions throughout the process. The installation itself went really well. We were very impressed by the professionalism and kindness of Kevin and his team. Due to some water-damaged wood under our old skylight, they discovered they needed to replace the damaged wood before installing the new skylight (making sure to explain this to us and check with us before proceeding), making the installation harder and longer than they probably planned for. Even so, they worked all day to finish the project, and even stayed an extra hour to install some inside trim around the new skylight and give us some suggestions on our other skylights. It really felt like they went above and beyond and we were pleasantly surprised and very impressed. We will definitely be calling them again for future skylight replacements!

We had an extensive skylight project as part of a remodeling project installed at our home in the Denver foothills. Six panels of new glass were installed, three new fixed skylights we’re installed in the kitchen, and three Mags Bar were installed with the goal of opening up views to the entire house. Mission accomplished! We were very pleased with the end result! We now have majestic views! The installers with Rich as the supervisor were OUTSTANDING! They were dependable, on time, professional, and courteous. The entire team worked hard to achieve 100% satisfaction.

I honestly didn’t know companies like Skylight Specialists still existed! We had them install 7 skylights and the project could not have gone smoother! They said they could do it in two (2) days! And that’s exactly what happened. The crew of 5 or 6 guys showed up on time in the morning and worked together as true professionals. They were very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. I was looking to have my skylights replaced in my kitchen. After extensive research I decided to go with skylight specialist which had great reviews. Josh came out to inspect and take measurements. He came back with a fair estimate lower than any one else I contacted. The installers, Marcus and Daniel were on time and very professional. Took time to protect the interior of our home by covering entire kitchen wifh plastic. Great job on install and clean up. The entire crew showed up every day on time the crew worked very well together. Everyone was very mannerly and kept me up-to-date on everything that was going on. The team lead Joseph went above and beyond more than once trying to make sure that we were satisfied. I have nothing to say but good things about this company their office personnel Devin. And Mike who made the appointments continuously keep us up-to-date on everything. We had more than one job going on at the same time it was the same crew the entire time no issues whatsoever. Devin and Jake of Skylight Specialists installed three sun tunnels for me a couple of days ago. The job took one day even with a few obstacles, one being the intermittent snow fall and the other being the configuration of my old home. Skylight Specialists went above and beyond for us to make sure the new windows were installed before a storm to prevent further damage. The installation guys were so nice and professional! If you have any needs regarding skylights, repair, installation or replacement Skylight Specialists should be the beginning and end of your search. Recently they replaced three skylights for us that another company had installed after the 2014 hail storm. Unbeknownst to us those skylights had been leaking into our walls these last five plus years. It wasn’t until we noticed ceiling and drywall damage that we realized that there was a problem with the skylights. We have a pitched roof that is two and one half stories high and for safety reasons we have never been on top of it to see the outside of the old skylights.
When Daniel from Skylight Specialists showed us pictures of those skylights, even to our untrained eyes, we were shocked at the poor job that had been done. We have had three snow storms since Skylight Specialists replaced the old skylights and we have had no leaks and they look fantastic! The crew from Skylight Specialists was awesome. They were so careful and respectful of our home and their craftsmanship is exceptional. We are so grateful to Skylight Specialists for solving our water leak problem. From our first contact with them to the completion of our project they have exceeded our expectations.

Josh Ewing was fantastic to work with! Josh designed a MAGS system with integrated VELUX solar venting skylights incorporated into them. They installed 32 skylights into my home (3 banks) in less than 8 days. The crew showed up on time, were super friendly to my wife, super playful and careful around my black lab Diesel, and very courteous of the residence. They only time they were not working is when they would pet the black lab for a few minutes. They did an excellent job of cleaning up each day and communicating with me on the progress they made (or did not make) each day. I have worked with two other outfits prior to Skylight Specialists and am really happy to have met Josh. I will continue to work with them on a go-forward basis and will recommend them to others. Mark the head installer was knowledgeable, straight-shooter, & courteous. If I were to guess, I am guessing 20+ years of industry experience based on conversations we had.

Although I live HOURS away, these fellas not only took the drive, but they arrived EARLY! They managed to keep the work in a secluded spot, which they went above and beyond to clean up once complete, and kept me involved in every step! They were kind and courteous, and very professional. Also, did I mention that this happened all in February in Colorado!? We just had a snow storm and another that was on the way, and the way these men worked, you’d believe it was a bright sunny summer day.
I literally sat in my living room for hours just looking into the sky, watching snow accumulate on the new skylight. I am beyond happy, I thank them, and most importantly, my plants thank them! The house was very dark, almost spooky dark, and now it feels like an ad in Better Homes magazine! I took pictures and posted them to my social media, and already referred them to a friend. This is such an exciting day. I only bought this house in late 2019 and was ready to place it back on the market because well, I’m a plant lady. After yesterday’s new install, that idea is out the window! Who knew that for the right price and a few hours, a house could turn into a home!

Everything about working with them on our project was professional, courteous and well communicated. They were extremely prompt, from the in home consultation to scheduling to installation. The installer, Paul, was fantastic. He made sure he knew what we wanted to achieve, clearly explained his recommendation, protected all the work areas, tidied up the area afterwards and made sure to lock the backyard gate before leaving. I found Skylight Specialists through Home Advisor, and after receiving several phone calls and quotes, I chose them to install two skylights. I’m SO glad I did! My experience began with Julia, who was incredibly helpful and responsive to my needs throughout the project. (She also didn’t annoy me with repeated phone calls after our project was delayed!)
Once our funding came through, we were able to schedule and complete the job in a matter of days. Then Mark and Kevin showed up for the install. These guys know their stuff! They covered all my furniture to protect them during construction, and left the place exactly as they found it (except, of course, for the two beautiful holes in the ceiling!) Mark was VERY helpful in determining the exact placement of the skylights, and his 30 years of experience was really helpful for someone like me who knows nothing about this stuff.
All I can say now is that I want MORE skylights, and I won’t hesitate to call the specialists when that time comes!

I had my first skylight replaced over two years ago due to hail damage by Skylight Specialists. I decided to get the other 3 replaced this winter. I chose Skylight Specialist again to replace them due to my experience with them and my HOA recommended them as well. They were the old dome type and old!! It is so nice to have beautiful clear flat ones! So nice to get all three replaced in one day. They were on time and finished an hour ahead of schedule.

About 3.5 years ago, we moved into a log home. The home is beautiful, but very dark inside. After much research, we settled on Skylight Specialists to put in a skylight for us. We were dreading having it done based upon our previous contracting experiences in other homes. We always said that contractors leave your home in worse shape than before they came! Not so with this company. Mark and Barry were wonderful! They carefully set up protective measures before starting. They worked quickly and efficiently, and the resulting skylight was beautiful and looked like it had always been part of the house. It has been about a year and a half now since it was installed, and it has made such a difference in this house. We would not hesitate to work with this company again, in the future.

I’ve used Skylight Specialists for multiple jobs now; we’d live in a better world if other contractors held themselves to the standards that Skylight Specialists hold themselves to. Skylights certainly are not cheap; Skylight Specialists were fairly priced and I wouldn’t hesitate to do business with them again in the future.
They were communicative from the beginning in bidding the job and answering any and all questions with the understanding that their products are not cheap and the intent of getting it right the first time. They communicated clearly about scheduling and followed up with punctuality each day in completing each of my multi-day installations.

The whole process was extremely professional and friendly. I did not feel like I was being up sold or anything and I was provided with photos of the damage to my current skylights to understand they needed replacement.

Skylight Specialists came highly reviewed and they did not disappoint! Our old skylights were at least 30 years old and we could hear the semis on I-225 whenever they went by a half mile away. Now, with the new Velux skylights, it is quiet as a whisper in our living room. The salespeople were professional, responsive, and punctual. The installer was professional and kind. They look amazing. What a great company to work with! We got a lower quote from another company, but their people who came out were not as knowledgeable about the types of skylights. They even gave us incorrect information. I am really glad we spent the slightly higher price to have this job done so excellently.

I can’t thank Josh and the people at Skylight Specialists enough!! My partner and I work on the frontlines and in the beginning of the pandemic, we were selected for a Sun Tunnel giveaway. As an NP, I was working 12-15 hours a day and as the cases of SARS-CoV-2 continued on, my partner was equally exhausted in her work as a therapist. We rarely saw the light of day during this time. Josh Hannon was incredibly patient and worked with us amid the chaos and our ever-changing hours for installation. The installer, Paul was incredible and the Sun Tunnel is just perfect, brightening up our once-dark farmhouse dining room! This was even more appreciated after I contracted the virus and ended up in the hospital, then quarantine and prolonged recovery, requiring oxygen at home. The added brightness helped as we had to put our beloved Goldendoodle down and the ray of light highlighted the many wonderful flowers we received from loved ones. It’s been a difficult year and the muddy recovery from this virus is unrelenting, but I will be forever grateful for this gift of light- especially as we are now working from home as we can and the dining room is now my partner’s office. Skylight Specialists, Inc. is a top notch organization and HIGHLY recommend considering them for a skylight or Sun Tunnel to bring light into your home and your lives! We could all use more light in our lives, but especially now as daylight becomes scarce into the winter and more of us stationed at home as this pandemic continues on.

I’ve lived here since 1985. One of my skylights was always a tiny leak issue, but since my electric line runs close by I assumed it was going to be a bigger deal to replace. But it was noticing cracks in the one over the bathtub, while taking a bath, that made me find the business card I had gotten during last home show in Denver.
I still assumed this was going to be a major project, super heavy units.. and really expensive.. probably require short power outage.I was so wrong and should literally have done this decades ago.
Kenny & Devon did such an excellent job I took pictures. Good thing I’m not a Facebooker or I’d have posted there. Fortunately I remembered to tell them about extra shingles stashed so they made them look perfect!

We have an older (1927) home with old dome style skylights. We found the Skylight Specialists at the home and garden show. They were one of several that we called for estimates. Some of the others never even called back… Skylight Specialists were 100% on mark from the beginning to the end of the project. They provided an over the phone ball park price, then showed up on time, to measure and give the estimate, it was reasonable and understandable. The interaction with everyone from the sales to the install was unparalleled with most other contractors in the field. They were on schedule with install, even with weather delays. But the most impressive interaction was when I noticed an install issue… (totally my perfection side) they came back and fixed it with the best “can do” attitude I have seen in a long time… so impressed. I HIGHLY recommend Skylight Specialists for any skylight you need. Quality Velux products, but the install and service are beyond 5 star… thanks for the great service in a day that quality is hard to find.

Skylights Specialists replaced 8 skylights in our home in 2014. One skylight fractured recently. Josh was our original salesperson, and was again our advocate with the skylight manufacturer, and even had someone come out to cover the skylight against adverse weather. Kenny installed the new skylight yesterday. He was very courteous and personable, and totally impressive! We have a concrete tile roof, which requires very careful treatment, and Kenny was a pro! I cannot speak highly enough of the service Josh and Kenny provided. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of skylights.

Had a sun tunnel installed. The guys showed up on time and were very professional from the start. Super informative on how the process was going to go and very thorough in their estimate and inspection. Install was quick (done in 2 hours!) but they left my roof and ceiling looking complete. They also cleaned up after themselves. I have absolutely no question on the quality and integrity of their work. Very highly recommend. Will be hiring them again!
