Geodesic Dome Skylight Replacement | MAGS Bar Upgrade

The original skylight has cracked glass and has been leaking.

The 46-year old skylight has seen better days. The same could be said for the roof. When a decision was made to reshingle, it made sense to replace the skylight with a modern MAGS Bar skylight. Cracked glass, missing interior trim, and evidence of water damage were all contributing factors.

The MAGS Bar system is manufactured exclusively for Skylight Specialists, Inc. It consists of a base bar with gaskets, a compression bar with gasket which clamps the glazing and a beauty cap which helps weatherproof the system.
